Privacy Policy
Standpointly is built with privacy by design: your test answers are processed locally in your browser and are never stored in a user database.
Your answers and self-assessments
Answers are held temporarily in your browser's sessionStorage while you take an assessment so a page refresh does not lose your progress. They are immediately cleared when the test finishes. Your individual answers are never uploaded or retained in a personal database.
Assessment results and URL encoding
Scoring runs entirely in your browser using deterministic algorithms. The result is calculated as numerical coordinates encoded directly in the URL link. Standpointly does not maintain user accounts or personal profiles. Anyone with whom you choose to share your result link can view the plotted coordinates.
Share images and completion certificates
When a result link is shared on social media platforms that generate preview cards, our server renders an image based solely on the coordinates present in the URL. If you choose to download a completion certificate and enter a name, that name is used transiently in memory to render the PDF and is immediately discarded without being stored.
Server logs and security
Like standard web services, our infrastructure logs incoming HTTP requests (including timestamp, requested URL path, IP address, and user agent) strictly for technical reliability, abuse prevention, and operational debugging. Logs are retained for 30 days and are never used to track individual identity or build personal profiles.
Advertising and Google AdSense cookies
We partner with Google AdSense to serve advertisements on our site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) or through www.aboutads.info.
Google Analytics and measurement
We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate site performance, page popularity, and visitor journeys in order to improve assessment clarity. Data collected is aggregated and anonymized. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
Data controller and contact information
This website is operated by Standpointly (standpointly.com). For any questions regarding this privacy policy, data practices, or to exercise your privacy rights under GDPR or relevant regulations, please contact us at support@standpointly.com.
Your rights
Under GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, and applicable privacy laws, you possess rights of access, rectification, objection, and erasure. Since our assessments operate client-side without storing user profiles or accounts, our systems hold minimal identifiable data beyond standard transient server logs.
